Need a PTV Visum expert, transport modeller or operator? We build and run macroscopic transport models for cities, corridors and whole countries, and we back them with Vissim, SIDRA and Synchro when you need detail at the junction.
AROM Associates works in PTV Visum, and in PTV Vissim, every week. We have delivered transport models across multiple countries, and several of those engagements are still running. Our work covers the full range below.
Nationwide Visum models with zoning, demand matrices, road and rail supply, assignment and forecasting for strategic planning and infrastructure appraisal.
Bus, rail and multimodal networks, line and timetable coding, passenger assignment, modal split and ridership forecasting.
Parking supply and demand, facility circulation, access and egress, and the effect of parking on surrounding network performance.
Fixed-time and actuated signal modelling, capacity, delay, queues and Level of Service, with signal timing options compared side by side.
Priority junctions, roundabouts and at-grade layouts assessed against signalised alternatives so you can choose the right control type.
Large multi-junction urban networks, interchanges, terminals, truck facilities and other constrained sites where simple methods fall short.
A few of the engagements we can talk about. Each one combines the right tool with a clear question: what does the network do today, and what will it do after the change?

We developed an integrated road and rail model in PTV Visum for a railway development and feasibility assignment in Pakistan, covering passenger and freight demand at regional and national connectivity level.
The model included a structured transport network, traffic analysis zones, origin-destination matrices and multimodal demand for private transport, public transport and rail. We ran base-year assignment, modal split and future-year forecasts under several development scenarios, and calibrated and validated the model against observed volumes and travel patterns.

We assessed internal and external circulation, parking configuration, access and egress, and vehicle manoeuvrability for a large truck parking facility in Dammam using PTV Vissim.
Swept path and movement checks covered passenger cars, heavy commercial vehicles, articulated trucks and tandem-trailer combinations, looking at turning radii, clearances, parking accessibility and circulation efficiency. We also tested how the site connects to the external road network and whether its entry and exit arrangements suit each vehicle type.

We modelled alternative configurations of a complex at-grade intersection in Saudi Arabia, a roundabout and a signal-controlled junction, to compare how each performs under varying traffic conditions.
The work covered network build, traffic flow representation, geometry assessment and interactions across several approaches and turning movements. We compared queues, delays and overall performance so the client could see the operational consequence of each control strategy before committing to a design.

We built a detailed Vissim model of an existing urban network with several complex intersections, constrained geometry, heavy pedestrian activity and mixed traffic.
Scenarios covered existing conditions, on-street parking restrictions, pedestrian interactions, a 10-year traffic forecast and proposed road widening. We reported intersection capacity, queues, delay and Level of Service, added an HCM-based pedestrian Level of Service assessment, and finished with recommendations on capacity, circulation and pedestrian safety.
We hold our own licences, with access up to the 2026 releases of PTV Visum and PTV Vissim. You send the brief and the data; we run the models.

Macroscopic demand, assignment and public transport models.

Microsimulation of junctions, corridors, parking and pedestrians.

Intersection and roundabout capacity and performance.

Signal timing, coordination and corridor analysis.
Whether you need a technical partner for one task, a transport modeller to join your team, a Visum operator for a defined scope, or a full analysis delivered end to end, we can start remotely and travel when the project calls for it. We serve developed and developing markets alike.
Yes. We provide experienced transport modellers who build, calibrate and run Visum models, either as a full consultancy service or as an extension of your own team.
Yes. We have software access up to the 2026 releases of both products, so there is nothing for you to buy or install to commission a model.
Country-wide and regional macro models, mass transit and public transport models, parking studies, and network models that include signalised and unsignalised intersections and complex facilities.
Anywhere. That includes every US state, Canada, any city or district in Saudi Arabia, all of Pakistan, and other developing and developed markets.
Yes. We use SIDRA, Synchro and PTV Vissim alongside Visum, so one team can cover your strategic model and the junction detail underneath it.
Send the scope, the study area and your deadline. We will come back with an approach, a team and a timeline for your PTV Visum, Vissim, SIDRA or Synchro work.
